I’m sharing my favorite things from the month of February!
Now can we please fast forward to December when the elections are over? My Facebook feed is becoming more and more treacherous to navigate. I need more holiday treats and less hate spewing, por favor.
It’s that weird time of year when it’s time to start thinking about a Spring wardrobe (ALLL NEW CLOTHES FOR THE KIDS. WHHHYYYYY), but it’s still fairly cold outside. I’ve already started looking at sandals and shopping for swimsuits! Nothing like trying on a swimsuit when you skin is practically transparent and you’re still carrying five boxes of chocolate covered cherries right around your midsection! Whomp.
Here are my favorites from last month. As usual, I want to hear about all the cool things you’ve discovered lately, too!
(Are any of you DVRing The Family? I’m curious and thinking about starting it!)
1. Lipstick Queen Seven Deadly Sins Gloss in “Indolence”
I picked this up at Ulta and it’s possibly one of my top 5 lip glosses of ALL TIME. It’s beautifully pigmented, glossy and hydrating, and NOT thick and sticky! It seems like gloss is usually too thin and rubs right off, or is ridiculously sticky…this is a nice middle-ground. The shade “Indolence” is a gorgeous everyday pinky nude that I love!
2. Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer
I LOVE a great concealer and this is definitely holy-grail quality. It’s thick, highly pigmented, creamy, and DOES NOT CREASE!! It has a pretty, luminous quality and blends beautifully. If you’ve got stubborn undereye circles, this is worth a try.
3. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum
First Aid Beauty is one of my favorite brands for skincare. It’s affordable and it WORKS! Even for sensitive skin. This serum is NO exception. I use it every day and night and my skin is wonderfully moisturized. I swore by Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair for YEARS, but this easily replaces it.
4. NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Cassiopeia
This eyeshadow is NOT cheap, but trust me when I say that it is worth the investment. A little goes a LONG WAY and it lasts forever. It’s smooth, goes on like a dream, is highly pigmented, and has a lovely shimmer. I love pretty much every shade, but Cassiopeia is SO fun for layering on top of other eyeshadows to add an iridescent finish.
Definitely not a Book of the Year nomination by ANY means, but a page turner that will keep you guessing for sure. I tore through this and could hardly put it down!
6. Lip Smackers Tsum Tsum Lip Balm
How ADORABLE is this little lip balm? I picked a few different ones up at Walgreens at Lucy and I have been obsessing over them. They’d also make a really fun Easter basket stuffer!
7. Women’s Tameka Slide Sandal
Don’t you just LOVE Target sandals? These are SO cute and ridiculously comfortable. I bought them to wear on trips where I’ll be doing a lot of walking. You can’t beat them for $22!!
That’s it for this month! Can’t wait to hear what you’re loving too!
