I’m sharing my favorite things from January 2015!

January Favorites Picture

Favorites, favorites!!

I’ve got so many great things on my list this month!

As you probably gleaned from my planner post, I’ve been obsessing over all things paper and pen lately. There are a zillion Etsy shops I’m stalking like crazy, it’s amazing I get anything done. This is the absolute cutest and these are going in my cart immediately!

Here’s all the other stuff I loved in January:

1. Tieks (in Camel)

I often asked if Tieks are “worth it” (usually by friends or local girls who see me wearing them) and my answer is always a zillion times YES. I have always been that girl who could not resist a pair of $19 Target flats, and while those have a time and a place, Tieks are infinity worth biting the bullet and spending the money, if you can.

I bought my oldest pair of Tieks 4 years ago and they still look really great! They are PERFECT for traveling — they’re light, fold up so that they take up almost no space in your suitcase, and they are suitable for almost any outfit. And they are COMFORTABLE! If I know I’m going to be walking all day, I slip on my Tieks. If you’re looking for quality over quantity, definitely invest in a pair of Tieks. You’ll have them forever.

2. Chic Sparrow Mr. Darcy Deluxe Traveler’s Notebook

I have recently fallen into the Traveler’s Notebook rabbit hole on Instagram, and I knew I HAD to have one! A Traveler’s Notebook is a leather cover that can hold several different notebooks in one place. They can be tossed in your bag and over the years, the lovely leather shows wear and tells your story.

After doing research on several different brands, I decided to go with a Chic Sparrow Mr. Darcy Deluxe in the size “Wide.” It’s beautiful! Jon David loves to draw and jot down ideas, so as soon as he saw mine, he put a Traveler’s Notebook on his wish list, too. This would really make a great gift for students or anyone who loves to write, draw, or plan. The smallest size can be used as a wallet, as well.

3. May Designs Notebooks

I have loved May Designs for years, but I loved them even more when I discovered that four of them can fit perfectly in my “wide” sized Traveler’s Notebook. There are so many gorgeous covers to choose from, and you choose your own interior. I ordered a pink lined paper one, a graph paper one (for drawing, practicing my lettering, etc), a meal planner (their meal planner is so great), and a gratitude journal.

4. Cake Pop Pen

Because when one comes across a cake pop pen, they buy it.

5. Vans Late Night Authentic Skyway Donut Shoes

How cute are these? I ordered Lucy and I matching pairs! I love these pizza ones, too.

6. Benefit They’re Real Tinted Primer

I LOVE this stuff! It’s perfect as a mascara primer but also looks really great on days I’m going light on make up and want a more natural look. I love that I can use it either way.

7. MZ Wallace Sutton

THIS IS THE PERFECT DIAPER BAG!! Okay, it’s actually a perfect ANYTHING bag. A purse bag, a travel bag (Kindle! Snacks! Laptop!), a diaper bag, a sneaking candy into the movies bag, a bring snacks and a change of clothes and an iPad for the toddler bag. It’s cute, durable (WIPES CLEAN!!), timeless, and has tons of little pockets (and a bunch of zipper pouches that clip into the inside). You can carry it like a crossbody or a shoulder bag. It’s perfect.

8. Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy

I absolutely could not believe how much I LOVED this book. I am not normally super in love with “cute” books, but I could NOT put this one down. Adorable and fun, with a lot of heart. I have heard that a sequel is in the worlds and I sincerely hope it’s true!

9. Jane the Virgin

Another show that I didn’t expect to love as much as I do. I am kind of particular when it comes to comedies, and they don’t usually draw me in…but I have been BINGE WATCHING Jane the Virgin!! It’s funny and over the top and just incredibly entertaining to watch. I love the lead actress — she’s gorgeous and funny and does a really great job with this role.

10. The Bachelor

Oh, The Bachelor. The show I’ve forever loved to hate. I’m doing my recaps as usual, so make sure you pop by on Friday mornings to read them!

That’s it for this month. As always, I’d love to hear what you’ve been loving, so I can check it out, too!
