I’m sharing all of my favorite things from the month of July!
It’s August, we made it! We are in the homestretch and well on our way to Fall and all things pumpkin.
Yep…I said the “P” word. Not sorry.
Are any of you completely obsessing over Bachelor in Paradise right now? OMG quite possibly my most favorite show of ALL TIME. It’s a hot mess express and we get TWO EPISODES a week! If I’m being honest, I would be great with it on every day. They need to offer live feeds like it’s Big Brother, don’t you think? I would invest in that in a hot second.
On that note, Big Brother this season is kind of turning out to be a snooze. But it’s going to be on this Fall and I’ve heard rumors about an All-Star cast?! Hopefully that will pan out a bit better than the current situation.
We are currently in back-to-school mode around here, doing all the shopping for clothes and supplies. I’ve been loving the Cat & Jack line at Target for Lucy — such cute, affordable outfits! We also picked up these little boots for her and OH MY GOSH. So SO cute! I was a bit worried she’d have trouble running and playing in them, but she doesn’t at all.
I also recently bought THESE speakers for our backyard. We have a pool and we use it nearly every day, and we all love having music on while we hang out. These are affordable, wireless, and the charge lasts FOREVER. They’ve held up to 105 degree heat and rain with no issues at all. If you’re looking for some outdoor speakers, I highly recommend them!
Here’s what else I’ve been loving lately:
I see a lot of beauty bloggers use white eyeshadow cream pencils to make their colored eyeshadows POP — this is essentially the same thing but as a cream. It’s easy to use, inexpensive, and you only need a little bit. Rub a bit of this on your eyelids right before applying eye make-up. The white base really does make your eyeshadow colors look so much more vibrant!
2. ColourPop Matte Lip Liquid in “Clueless”
This dusty mauve is SO perfect for every day, and I LOVE the ColourPop formula — it stays put for HOURS!! I have heard rumors that the Kylie Lip Kits (that sell out in SECONDS) use the same formula as ColourPop. While I have no idea whether or not this is true, I do know that for $6, it’s definitely worth a try.
3. “Bonnie” Hot Pink Druzy Geode Necklace
I LOVE the druzy jewlery trend, and this is just different enough to stand out. I always get compliments when I wear it! Everything in Shop Wrenn is gorgeous — I have a long wish list!
4. Pottery Barn Kids Classic Critter Unicorn Backpack
I bought Lucy this backpack and matching lunchbox for school. It’s even cuter in person!!
5. Lush ‘Whitney’ Bell Sleeve Woven Shift Dress
I picked this up during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I love it SO much more than I expected! It’s got a cute, flowy shape and a very “boho” vibe that could be dressy OR casual. I’ve worn it with wedges and flat sandals for both looks! I am 5’2 and it comes to a couple inches above my knee – if you’re a tall girl, you may want to opt to wear this as a tunic. Regardless, this is a great piece to transition to Fall — I’ll definitely wear it with leggings and boots later in the year!
6. BIGS Vlasic Pickle Sunflower Seeds
Kind of random, but I’m totally addicted to these! I am a major snacker, and these help keep me from overdoing it on cookies.
I’d love to hear what your favorites have been lately!
